At Mindful Pediatrics, only one patient is scheduled at a time, and the number of families in the practice is limited to ensure virtually no wait times and excellent availability.

Well Child Care:

Routine well child visits are scheduled at regular intervals based on the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations.  Visits last as long as they need to, ranging from 30 minutes to one hour based on your families needs.
During these visits I will evaluate:

  • General health and wellbeing
  • Perform routine screening tests
  • Growth and development assessment
  • Nutrition
  • Behavior
  • Sleep Guidance
  • Parenting questions and concerns
  • Safety
  • Anticipatory Guidance
  • Vaccines

Sick Visits:

Due to the limited number of patients accepted at Mindful Pediatrics, same day appointments are available.  Just like well visits, sick visits last as long as they need to.  You are also welcome to bring in or discuss issues regarding your other children.

After Hours and Urgent Care:

I am personally available via cellular phone 24 hours a day for my regular patients.  In addition, special arrangements to be seen can be made for off-hour times.  Having worked in emergency care, I am equipped and experienced to perform stitches, minor orthopedic injury evaluation, acute asthma care and dehydration management.

If this is a life or limb threatening emergency call 911 immediately.  Otherwise, it is always best to call our office for instructions.  I may be able to prevent you from going to an urgent care or ER.  I often see patients in the office during off hour times.  Bellow are the facilities that I generally recommend:

Nutritional Consultations:

What we put into our bodies has a tremendous impact on our wellbeing. At Mindful Pediatrics I focus on a child’s nutrition for maintaining wellness and preventing illness.  I am certified as an integrative nutrition practitioner and use my expertise as an integral part of my diagnostic and treatment process.  I also offer advice in prenatal nutrition and counseling.

Chronic Illness and Diagnostic Dilemmas:

Understanding and treating complicated illness can be very challenging.  I believe we must see both “the trees and the forest” to find the cause of an unusual illness.  I have an unwavering determination and commitment to solving your child’s problems.  Each family and child requires a personalized approach.

  • Food Allergies and Sensitivities
  • Environmental Allergies
  • Asthma
  • Eczema
  • ADHD (Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder)
  • Anxiety
  • Chronic Pain
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Inflammatory Bowel Disease
  • Constipation
  • Recurrent Abdominal Pain
  • Recurrent illness and infections
  • Headaches
  • Acne
  • Immune System Evaluation and Support

Vaccines Consultations:

Many confusing and controversial issues are associated with the decision whether to vaccinate your child. There seems to be two opposing side both of which seem be backed up by “scientific” data.  In my experience, vaccines seem to be well tolerated by healthy children in the short run.  That being said, I believe it is far too complicated to evaluate the real long-term impact at this time.  For this reason I am cautious.  I believe that one size does not fit all, and that a vaccination schedule should be tailored to a specific child’s exposure and risk.  I use evidence-based research to help guide my patients and their family’s decisions :: Link to Vaccine Resources
